A safari lodge website from Charnette Labs starts from GBP 3,000 + VAT for a standard build: one website and one app, for iOS and Android. Rebuilding a lodge site you already have is the same price. Hosting and care is from GBP 99 + VAT a month. Terms, conditions and usage limits apply. Until 31 December 2026 there is no build fee at all for new business clients who take a year of hosting and care upfront, £1,188 + VAT, for the first 25 clients. Above the standard, a lodge quote moves on the camps, the rooms and the trade, not on the page count.

What moves the price for a lodge

The standard build covers one property’s website and app. Above it, five things move a lodge quote:

  • Camps and properties. One lodge is one build. A lodge group needs a group homepage and a set of pages for each camp, each with its own rooms, gallery, conservation story and rates, under one brand.
  • Room and tent types. Each unit type needs its own description, bed configuration and capacity. The more there are, the more there is to build and keep current.
  • Seasonality and rates. Green and high season, park and conservancy fees, and whether rates sit on the page for guests or behind a login for the trade.
  • Trade resources. Rate sheets, fact sheets, an image library and a clear contact for operators and agents. Worth building properly: a product manager who cannot find your fact sheet builds another property into the itinerary.
  • Booking and languages. Connecting a booking engine or reservation system, and adding languages for source markets such as German, French or Italian, are the two items most likely to move a lodge quote upwards.

How long it takes

A single lodge site with real product depth typically takes four to eight weeks. A lodge group, or a build that connects a booking engine or adds a trade login, runs to eight to twelve weeks, because at that point it is software rather than a website. Content moves the date more than anything else: if photography, room details and rates are ready, the build moves faster.

What you pay after launch

Hosting and care is from GBP 99 + VAT a month: hosting on a fast global edge network, SSL, daily backups, security monitoring and updates, with direct access to the developer. It matters more for a lodge than a city hotel. Guests browse on phones and agents open your site in the field, often on a weak signal, so a fast, well-kept site is part of how you are sold. What the standard build and hosting and care include, and the usage limits, are set out in full in the standard website and app build.

Where we are with lodges

Our founder sold luxury safari to the international travel trade for eighteen years, including a seat on the SATSA board. On the build side, our live safari work so far is for operators rather than a lodge: Confidence Africa Tours in Uganda and Rwanda and Wildtouch Tours & Travel in Nairobi, both selling safari product daily. How we approach a lodge site is set out in the safari lodge website checklist and on our safari lodge page.

The bottom line

Budget for your camps, your unit types and your trade resources, not your page count, and weigh the monthly care alongside the build. If you would like a figure for your lodge, tell us about the property and we will scope it.

Common questions

How much does a safari lodge website cost?

A standard build (one website and one app, for iOS and Android) starts from GBP 3,000 + VAT, and rebuilding a lodge site you already have is the same price. Hosting and care is from GBP 99 + VAT a month. Terms, conditions and usage limits apply. Until 31 December 2026, new business clients who take 12 months’ hosting and care, paid upfront (£1,188 + VAT), pay no build fee for one website and one app (limited to the first 25 clients or 31 December 2026, whichever comes first; a case study and testimonial are part of the offer). See the offer. Above the standard, what moves a lodge quote is the number of camps, room and tent types, seasonal rate detail, trade resources, a booking-engine connection and extra languages.

Does a lodge group with several camps cost more than a single lodge?

Usually, yes. A group needs a group homepage and a set of pages for each camp, each with its own rooms, gallery, conservation story and rates, under one shared brand. It is still one website and one app, but there is more of it to design, build and keep up to date, so a group is scoped after a short discovery conversation rather than priced from the standard alone.
