Websites built for the travel trade.

A travel-trade website is a B2B site built to win the confidence of operators, agents and partners — not to take consumer bookings. We build them for tour operators, DMCs, representation companies, tourism boards and associations — and the hotels and lodges they work with — by people who know the industry from the inside.

Key takeaways
A travel-trade website wins the confidence of operators, agents and partners — it's a B2B credibility tool, not a consumer booking site.
Content and structure should speak to the trade: product, credentials, positioning and clear enquiry paths.
Fast, mobile-first and built to be found by both Google and AI search.
Built by people who've worked in the trade — you won't spend the project explaining your world.
What We Build

Tourism websites that work as hard as you do.

Your website is how the trade evaluates you — operators checking your product, agents researching your brand, boards assessing your professionalism. It needs to load fast, look authoritative, and make it clear what you do and who you serve.

We build custom tourism websites — not templates, not page builders. Every site is designed specifically for your business, your audience and your brand. And because we come from the travel industry, we know exactly what a tour operator, DMC or representation company website needs to say and show.

Mobile-First Design

Most trade buyers reach you from a phone — in a taxi, at a stand, between appointments. Every site we build is designed for phones first, then scales up to tablet and desktop.

Lightning Fast

Hosted on a global edge network, so it loads quickly from Nairobi or Cape Town as well as from London. Slow sites lose enquiries before anyone reads a word.

SEO from Day One

Schema markup, clean code, keyword-optimised content. We build sites that Google can read and rank — not just sites that look good.

Trade Portals & Agent Logins

Secure agent login areas, trade-only rates and resources, downloadable brochures and FAM trip information — the tools your trade partners actually need.

Showcase Your Brand

Full-screen galleries, video integration, destination maps and itinerary showcases. Present your product and your portfolio at its absolute best.

Secure & Maintained

SSL certificate, daily backups, security monitoring. Your site stays live and protected — with direct developer support when you need it.

How It Works

From conversation to live in six weeks.

1

Discovery Call

We talk through your business, your audience and your goals. No jargon, no forms — just a conversation between industry people.

2

Design & Review

We design your site and share it with you for feedback. You see exactly what you're getting before a single line of code is written.

3

Build & Test

We build, test across all devices and browsers, and connect your booking system and any third-party integrations.

4

Launch & Care

Your site goes live on a fast global edge network. We hand over the keys — and stay on board for monthly care if you want us.

Common questions

How much does a tourism website cost?

A standard website, with matching iOS and Android apps, starts from GBP 3,000 + VAT. Enhancing a site you already have is the same price as building a new one. Hosting and care is from GBP 99 + VAT a month. Terms, conditions and usage limits apply. Larger builds — trade portals, reservation integrations, custom platforms — are scoped after a discovery conversation. We bill in GBP, EUR, USD or ZAR; non-sterling amounts convert at the exchange rate on the day of invoice.

How long does a tourism website take to build?

Most projects take 4–12 weeks from kickoff to launch. The timeline depends on how many pages, integrations and rounds of feedback are involved. We provide a detailed schedule before work begins.

Do you do SEO for tourism websites?

SEO is built into every site Charnette Labs creates — schema markup, canonical URLs, keyword-optimised page titles and descriptions, fast load times and clean code. We do not offer ongoing SEO retainers but every site launches with solid technical SEO foundations.

Can you redesign an existing tourism website?

Yes. Redesigns are one of our most common projects. We audit your existing site, identify what is working and what is not, and rebuild with a clear strategy. Existing content and SEO value is preserved where possible.
