An assistant on your site that
knows your product.
A chat assistant trained on your own itineraries, rates and trade terms — answering the questions your team answers twenty times a week, and handing over the ones that need a person.
The questions your team answers twenty times a week.
Every travel business has them. What is included in the rate. Whether the lodge takes children. What the single supplement is. Which airport to fly into. When the green season starts. Whether you hold allocation for a group of twelve.
A chat assistant trained on your own content answers those at two in the morning in another time zone, and puts the ones that need judgement in front of a person with the context already gathered. Done properly it shortens the enquiry, not the relationship.
Grounded in your product
The assistant answers from your itineraries, rate sheets and policies rather than guessing. Where it does not know, it says so and offers a person — which is the behaviour that keeps trust.
Trade and consumer, told apart
An agent asking about net rates and a traveller asking about malaria need different answers. Behind a trade login the assistant can speak to the trade; in front of it, it does not.
A handover, not a wall
The point is not to stop people reaching you. When the question needs judgement the conversation goes to a person with everything already gathered, so nobody repeats themselves.
Two jobs worth doing.
On the site, for visitors. The assistant answers product questions immediately and captures the enquiry while interest is live — instead of a contact form that gets filled in tomorrow, or not at all.
Behind the login, for the trade. Agents and partners asking about allocation, net rates, cancellation terms or booking conditions get an answer without emailing your reservations team. That is the version that saves real hours.
There is a third effect worth naming: the log of what people actually ask is the most useful content brief you will ever get. It tells you what your website failed to say.
Pricing on application.
A chat assistant is priced on application, because what it costs depends on how much of your product it has to know and where it has to reach. A handful of pages and a rate card is a different job from an assistant sitting across a reservation system and a trade portal.
Increasingly this goes into the build rather than beside it — the same work that makes a site legible to an answer engine makes it legible to an assistant. If you are already talking to us about a website, ask for it in the same conversation. Terms, conditions and usage limits apply.
For reference, a standard website with matching iOS and Android apps starts from GBP 3,000 + VAT, and enhancing a site you already have is the same price. Hosting and care is from GBP 99 + VAT a month. We bill in GBP, EUR, USD or ZAR, converted at the exchange rate on the day of invoice.
Common questions
What does an AI chatbot for a travel website actually do?
It answers questions about your product from your own content — itineraries, rates, inclusions, policies, travel practicalities — and passes anything needing judgement to a person with the conversation attached. For a tour operator or lodge that is most of the repetitive enquiry traffic; for a representation company it can take routine trade questions off the reservations desk.
How much does an AI chatbot cost?
Pricing is on application, because the cost depends on how much product knowledge it needs and what it has to connect to. Where it is built into a website project it is quoted as part of that. A standard website with matching iOS and Android apps starts from GBP 3,000 + VAT, and hosting and care is from GBP 99 + VAT a month. Terms, conditions and usage limits apply.
Will it make things up about my product?
It answers from your content rather than from the open web, and where it does not have an answer it says so and offers a person. That behaviour is the point — an assistant that invents a rate or a policy costs more than it saves, and in travel it can create a liability. We would rather it declined than guessed.
Can it give different answers to the trade and to consumers?
Yes. Behind a trade login it can speak to net rates, allocation and booking conditions; in front of that login it does not. Keeping those apart is the same discipline a trade portal needs, and we build both.
Can you add one to a website I already have?
Usually. It depends on how your current site is built and where your product information lives — a site with structured content is straightforward, a site where the rates only exist in a PDF is more work. Enhancing a site you already have starts from the same GBP 3,000 + VAT as a new build, and the assistant is quoted on top.
Answer the question while they are still asking it.
Tell us what your team gets asked twenty times a week, and we will tell you whether an assistant is worth building.
